National minorities to cooperate with Poland's local governments
Organisations representing national minorities living in Poland have drawn up a Book of Good Practices to boost cooperation with local governments.

The book is both a report on the current state of affairs and a guideline for the future.
Its authors say a lack of trust and communication is still a huge problem when dealing with local authorities.
Poland’s deputy Human Rights Ombudsperson Sylwia Spurek said there are more and more cases of negative attitudes towards minorities in Poland.
"There is a rise of negativity towards people who look different, act different, or perhaps speak a different language," she said, adding "that is why this cooperation ... is crucial".
