Polish gas giant discovers new deposits
Poland’s listed state-owned oil and gas company PGNiG says it has found new rich deposits of natural gas in the south-east of the country.

The news comes as Poland tries to reduce its reliance on supplies of Russian gas.
The discovery has been made possible by the use of innovative research and drilling methods.
“We have made 4 drillings there and each of them offered very good prospects about the capacity and exploitation of the whole deposit. We have not completed research yet which is still halfway through,” said PGNiG’s CEO Piotr Woźniak.
