The Gala concert features a program of Chopin and Paderewski works to mark the anniversary of Paderewski's last performance at the venue 85 years ago.

It will also inaugurate official New York celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s regained independence.

"It's of significance that we have this concert gala in the name of Paderewski which actually takes place on the anniversary of his last concert here," Maciej Rusinski, a co-organiser of the Ignacy Paderewski Gala at the Carnegie Hall told Danuta Isler.
