In the men's 4x400-metre relay, Karol Zalewski, Rafał Omelko, Łukasz Krawczuk and Jakub Krzewina outdistanced the American and Belgian teams and set a new World Indoor Record of 3 minutes and 1.77 seconds!

Meanwhile, men's 800-metre gold medallist, Adam Kszczot of Poland, said: "It's always difficult before the event and it must be openly said that doubts do crop up and whisper strange things in your ear. But afterwards, it may safely be said that it was easy."

Sławek Szefs reports that last weekend Poland's athletes even overshadowed the national ski jumping team and its stars, who are the traditional sports newsmakers during the winter season.
