The issue of hate speech was addressed at a recent conference organised by the Institute of Public Affairs (ISP) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Warsaw.

Radio Poland's Agnieszka Laszczuk spoke to Larry Olomofe, former Advisor on Combating Racism and Xenophobia at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

The expert pointed to the arbitrary nature of definitions surrounding hate speech and the need to contextualise each case. Olomofe also discussed incidents of racism in Warsaw, stressing the importance of taking a stand.
