Historic Polish mines receive UNESCO certificate
Historic silver, zinc and lead mines in Tarnowskie Góry, southern Poland, have formally received UNESCO certification with World Heritage list inscription.

The decision to list the city was announced in July 2017 at the 41st session of the World Heritage Committee in Kraków. Tarnowskie Góry is Poland’s 15th UNESCO World Heritage site.
