Remembering 1920 Battle of Warsaw
August 15 is Armed Forces Day in Poland, marking a landmark victory against the Russian Bolsheviks in the 1920 Battle of Warsaw.

The battle saw Polish troops led by Marshal Józef Piłsudski defeating an advancing Red Army.
The Battle of Warsaw is considered to have saved Poland’s newly regained independence and prevented the Bolshevik revolution from spreading into western Europe.
