FOCUS 2018 THE YEAR OF ZBIGNIEW HERBERT
Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of the great poet, 2018 was the Year of Zbigniew Herbert .

Early last year in a special resolution the Polish Parilamnet declared that Zbigniew Herbert was a writer who referred in his poetry to the great tradition of European culture. The year abounded in events which allowed for an in-depth acquaintance with the writer's works. Exhibitions, discussions, meetings with Herbert's poetry were held, some of them to continue throughout 2019 .
