The Eastern Partnership is a Polish-Swedish initiative that emerged in 2009 as part of the European Union's neighbourhood policy.

Poland’s Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz told the news conference that he and his Swedish counterpart were going on a visit to Ukraine “to assert European support” for that country and to “discuss the expected shape of this support in the future with our Ukrainian partners.”
