Your Movement parliamentary club dissolved

The parliamentary club of the Your Movement (TR) party led by maverick politician Janusz Polikot no longer exists, its leader has said.

Twelve MPs have resigned from the club, Palikot said, adding that a new club will soon emerge in the Sejm lower house of parliament.
According to the Sejm statute, parliamentary clubs need to have at least 15 members to exist.
Palikot was one of the 12 MPs who resigned.
“We left the TR club, so it has ceased to exist. At the same time we set up the Palikot Movement club,” he said.
“Over the past few weeks, someone has constantly thrown a wrench in my works, tried to stick a knife in my back and cripple my campaign, trying to get me to resign; to say why the club is falling apart, or will it still exist; who left and who didn’t.
"I decided to stop this ridiculous, trivial and embarrassing spectacle and dissolve the club,” Palikot explained.
Janusz Palikot is a candidate for the upcoming presidential election and currently enjoys an average of just 1.7 percent support in recent polls. (rg)
