Sirens around Poland mark army drills

The drill will be performed between 6.00 am and 7.00 pm CET in cities such as Warsaw and Kraków, as well as dozens of other municipalities around the country.

The “Renegade Kaper” drill is meant to serve as practice to the country’s military and civilian services in case of war or terrorist activities.

In addition to military exercises, other departments such as firefighters will take part in Tuesday’s drill, the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces said.

Since the beginning of last year, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces is also responsible for crisis management, related to natural disasters, for example.
