Duda is not trusted by 18 percent and 19 are indifferent, the poll shows.

In second and third places in the June poll are the most trusted politicians of the previous poll, Paweł Kukiz - the maverick rock star-turned-politician - and incumbent president Bronisław Komorowski.

Some 52 percent of Poles asked said they trusted the latter two, although 30 percent said they didn’t trust the president, and 17 percent said they didn’t trust Kukiz.

Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz with 41 percent is in fourth place and despite the government’s falling ratings her percentages have stayed the same as in the last poll.

The fifth most trusted politician is Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna, with 35 percent support.

In May Kukiz had the trust of 58 percent of the electorate. Komorowski, who lost the 24 May presidential election to conservative opposition candidate Duda, was level-pegging with the latter at 54 percent. In fourth place was Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz with 42 percent. (jh)
