Meanwhile, United Left (ZL) support is growing – up from 1.1 percent in July to 4.2 in August.

If parliamentary elections were to be held in August, the most votes would go to PiS with 42.3 percent, second position PO at 29.9 percent.

Support for the newly formed populist Kukiz grouping fell from 10.5 to 9.8 percent.

All other parties would find themselves outside parliament: the junior coalition partner Polish People’s Party (PSL) 4.1 percent (from 3.7 percent in July), far right Korvin 3.8 percent (2.2 percent in July) and liberal Nowoczesna.pl 2.3 percent from 1.3 percent in July. (jh/rk)
