According to a survey by TNS Institute, only one in every four respondents looks with optimism into the future, while 21 percent do not have any opinion.

The results of the poll show a slight deterioration in social sentiments. In comparison to a similar poll a month ago, the group of pessimists grew by one percentage point and that of optimists fell by three percentage points.

According to 53 percent of Poles the national economy is in crisis, which is described as “deep” by 14 percent of the respondents. Thirty-eight percent of Poles claim that the country’s economy is expanding but only two percent of the respondents describe the growth as “dynamic”.

The survey was carried out between 4 and 9 of September on a representative sample of 1,017 persons over fifteen years of age. (mk/rg/rk)
