Speaker Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska explained that many programmes helping personal security, family support, and young adults were passed in this term.

The acts sanctioned include programmes to help young adults buy a new home, provide financial support for people in debt, provide infertility treatment, extend maternity leave, and contribute additional benefits for the third and subsequent child.

The Speaker of the Sejm said that funding for the military from the national budget has been increased to two percent of the GDP, in line with NATO agreements.

Regardless of poor opinions of the Sejm in recent polls, MPs should be proud of their work, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska claimed.

During the latest Sejm term, 102 sessions were held and 6,218 votes were taken, where 753 of 1,300 acts and 281 of 302 resolutions were passed. (ua/rg/rk)
