If the parliamentary elections were held this month, the ruling conservative party Law and Justice would receive 39 per cent of the vote.

This figure is 1.5 percentage points more than its result in the October 2015 parliamentary election.

According to the survey by the TNS Polska Institute, the centrist Civic Platform party, which governed for the previous eight years and with 138 MPs, is now the largest opposition grouping, can count on 17 per cent support. Nowoczesna (Modern), is third with 11 per cent and Kukiz’15 fourth with a seven-percent support.

The survey was conducted on 13-18 of May on a representative group of 900 adult Poles, using computer-assisted personal interviewing. (mk)
