The 28-year old Romanian national was caught driving a car at a speed of 124 km/h in a 50 km/h zone in the town of Busko-Zdrój in the świętokrzyskie voivodship.

Police pointed out that the driver “was not in possession of his driving license and other documents. In addition, he was carrying children without the legally-required seats, and the vehicle was transporting one more person than registered.”

When stopped by the police, the man tried to avoid a hefty fine by offering a bribe of cookware. He placed a 12-piece set of pots and pans on the back seat of the police car hoping that the penalty would be waived.

He received a PLN 1,000 fine. (rg)
