The ruling conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party would win 40 percent of votes if a parliamentary ballot was held in June, a new poll by TNS Polska shows.

The result marks a slight one-percentage point uptick (a shift within the margin of error) compared to last month’s poll.

Support for the largest opposition party, Civic Platform, remains at 17 percent.

Nowoczesna (Modern) and Kukiz’15 could both count on nine-percent backing, the study reveals.

Groupings such as KORWiN, the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), the Polish People’s Party and the Together Party would all fall below the five-percent threshold needed to enter Parliament. (aba)
