The programme of the five-day event includes lectures, talks, workshops, outdoor activities and sightseeing in and around Kraków.

Konrad Mikułko, one of the organizers, told the Polish Press Agency that the gathering is a forum for integration and inter-cultural exchange, as well as for gaining insights into the culture and traditions of the host country.

Founded 70 years ago, Mensa is the world’s oldest and largest high-IQ society. It has over 120,000 members in 100 countries. Its Polish branch has over 1,500 members.

The European Mensa Annual Gatherings were launched in 2008. Poland is hosting the event for the first time. (mk/pk)
