The new survey by IBRiS for daily Rzeczpospolita was the first conducted following the re-election of Donald Tusk to head the European Council in early March.

Former Polish prime minister Tusk's bid for the post was strongly criticised by the Polish PiS government.

Since the previous IBRiS poll, PiS support fell by five percentage points, while support for PO rose by 10 points.

Meanwhile, the opposition Nowoczesna party enjoys the support of nine percent of those polled. (rg)
