Speaking to Polish Radio on Tuesday, Ryszard Terlecki was referring to local government elections slated for 11 November 2018. The date is a public holiday in Poland, marking Independence Day.

He was asked whether PiS is planning to introduce changes to the electoral law making it impossible to hold elections on holidays.

“There will certainly be some steps taken to avoid such dates, state holidays and elections, coinciding,” Terlecki said.

Polish President Andrzej Duda recently announced that a referendum on changes to the constitution could also be held on 11 November 2018.
