The school in the southern city of Kraków plans to focus on teaching the Chinese language and culture, aiming to "respond to the needs of the modern economy”, the school’s founders have said.

Before the school opens its doors, it will take students on a four-week trip to China and pick up part of the tab, according to Grzegorz Calik, the head of a business foundation that is working to establish the school.

The school’s principal, Paweł Koszałka, told the PAP news agency that the school will offer career prospects for young people amid Poland’s developing economic relations with China.
