Poland's energy ministry said repairs to the power supply network were underway, while the fire department said nearly 100,000 people had no access to electricity on Sunday morning.
Violent storms with heavy downpour and fierce winds saw trees and airborne objects knock down power lines. At the height of the crisis, 500,000 were cut off from the grid. (vb/pk)
