The men, a 26-year-old tow-truck owner and his 24-year-old accomplice, are accused of using a tow truck to lift at least three vehicles – a Mercedes Vito, a Citroen Jumper, and a Ford Fiesta – before burning them by the Vistula river in Piaseczno, central Poland.

The cars were allegedly then sold as scrap.

Police have not ruled out that the men may have done the same to more cars. (vb)
