The spokesman, Paweł Frątczak, said that the northern city of Elbląg was most affected but that flooded roads in the city had been cleared.
Firefighters were still working on bolstering river embankments on Tuesday, Frątczak said.
Power was cut to more than 6,000 homes and two people were injured as a result of the bad weather. (vb/pk)
