According to the poll by Kantar Public, the opposition Civic Platform (PO) party, which was voted out of power in 2015 parliamentary elections, is in second place with 20 percent support.

Compared to last month’s poll support for Law and Justice has fallen by five percentage points, while support for Civic Platform has risen by six percentage points.

Meanwhile, the Kukiz ’15 grouping came third with seven percent support, followed by the Nowoczesna (Modern) party on six percent. Support for Kukiz ’15 was unchanged from last month, while Nowoczesna lost one percentage point.

Both the Polish People’s Party (PSL) and the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) received five percent support, which is the threshold needed for a party to enter parliament. Neither party has seen a change in support.

Kantar Public also found that the leftist Razem (Together) would not enter parliament, as it currently has just two percent support.

The poll was conducted in mid-February using a representative sample of 1,033 adult residents of Poland. (sl/vb)
