The city authorities have signed an agreement for the design of the footbridge, the wawalove.wp.pl website reported.
The 463-metre long and nine-metre wide structure “will have observation decks and places to rest,” said Łukasz Puchalski, head of the Municipal Roads Authority.
“I hope that the site will be an icon of modern Warsaw,” he added.
The project is to cost PLN 6.6 million (EUR 1.56m, USD 1.94m), wawalove.wp.pl reported.
