"Estimates show that in 2017 Polish airports handled nearly 40 million passengers,” Deputy Investment and Development Minister Adam Hamryszczak said on Thursday.

Hamryszczak said at the Fly & More congress in Jasionka, south-eastern Poland, that airports had an impact on business, exports, investment and tourism.

He added that as air traveller numbers soar, "the expectations of passengers are also growing".
