Eight suspects are still detained while the rest have been released on bail and are not allowed to leave the country.

Police believe the suspects are connected to a gang busted last year.

Last September, more than 330 police in Poland, and well as officers in Germany and France, carried out simultaneous raids in more than 70 locations in Poland and four abroad.

Police detained 43 people who allegedly made 900 kilograms of amphetamine, trafficked automatic firearms across Poland and abroad, sold illegal cigarettes, and stole luxury cars.

Sixty-one people are currently considered suspects in the case, facing a combined 250 charges, as police continue to investigate the gang. Some of those people are in detention while others are serving jail terms for other crimes. (vb/pk)
