Senior Polish police officers fired after death of SWAT leader

Poland’s Interior Minister Joachim Brudziński on Thursday fired a regional police chief and his deputy after a SWAT team leader was killed in an accident.
Private broadcaster RMF FM reported on its website that 11 other senior policemen had also been dismissed.
RMF FM added that the 47-year-old SWAT officer died after falling out of a window in the early hours of Thursday.
The incident took place after a meeting of police officers in Świnoujście, northwest Poland, the broadcaster added.
