Nine people drowned over the weekend, Poland's Government Centre for Security said on Monday.

Officials urged for more care in and around water.
They especially warned not to swim after drinking, taking drugs, or eating, and to listen to life guards.
More than 100 people have drowned since April as Poles take to rivers and lakes to beat the scorching heat. (vb)
