The man was struck and killed while servicing the newly opened Hyperion “hyper coaster” at the Energylandia amusement park, some 50 km to the west of the city of Kraków, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
No one else was hurt during the incident on Thursday evening, officials said.
The Energylandia park, which drew over 1.2 million visitors last year, boasts Europe’s tallest and fastest roller coaster, offering rides at breathtaking speeds of up to 142 kph.
