This summer has been the warmest in Poland since the end of the 18th century, according to reports.

The higher-than-usual temperatures started in April, which was 4.7 degrees Celsius hotter than usual and the warmest in over 200 years, according to private broadcaster TVN.
The mercury exceeded 35 degrees in the shade in some parts of the country this year.
Warm weather is expected to continue for several weeks, forecasters have predicted.
