The incident took place on Tuesday in one of the city’s hotels. Medics were called because the man was reportedly staggering. According to police the man, named by Polish officials only as “Matthew L,” was under the influence of alcohol.

The credits of 50-year-old cinematographer include “A Star is Born”, starring Lady Gaga, and “Black Swan,” for which he received an Oscar nomination in 2010.

He is a guest of the Camerimage Festival in Bydgoszcz, one of the world’s top events devoted to the art of cinematography.
