Storms wreak havoc across Poland

Firefighters were called out almost 1200 times over the last 24 hours as storms wreaked havoc in southern and central Poland, the IAR news agency has reported.

Strong winds damaged the roofs of over 100 buildings, toppled trees and disrupted power supplies leaving some 150,000 customers without electricity as of Sunday morning.
One person was reported injured by a falling tree in Otwock, near Warsaw.
