The pro-European civic demonstration was organized as part of Europe Day celebrations.

The annual event was organised by the Robert Schuman Foundation, named after one of the founding fathers of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSE), a forerunner of the EU.

The parade set off and wound up at Schuman Town organised for the event. The site provided a platform for meetings and discussions.

Presentations of various initiatives of non-governmental organizations and public institutions were held at the site, alongside competitions, animations, educational games and meetings with experts.

The parade was attended by students of several dozen schools from all over Poland. They carried with them the flags of the European Union and Poland, as well as slogans: "My vote, my Europe,” “We support Europe,” and “Europe is my home.”

The event comes ahead of the European Parliament elections scheduled in Poland for May 26.
