Macedonia were considered Poland’s biggest threat in the play-offs. Poland will take on Chile on Saturday and play Tunisia on Sunday.
The Polish squad is playing its first tournament under new coach Talant Duyshebaev.
Former coach Michael Biegler quit after the Poles failed to reach the semi-finals of this year's European Championships - hosted in Poland - losing to Croatia in the decisive match. (pk)
