Tennis: Poland’s Kubot makes China Open doubles semis

Poland’s Łukasz Kubot and Brazil’s Marcelo Melo have reached the semifinals of the men’s doubles competition at the China Open tennis tournament in Beijing.

The Polish-Brazilian duo beat India’s Rohan Bopanna and France’s Édouard Roger-Vasselin 4-6, 6-4, 12-10 in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Kubot and Melo on Saturday take on Colombians Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah for a place in the final.
Kubot and Melo were last year named the men’s doubles team of 2017 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
