Residents of the southern city of Kraków seem reluctant to get rid of their traditional coal-fired furnaces to reduce heavy air pollution in the city.
As Michał Owczarek reports, the number of applications filed so far for the replacement of home stoves is low while the September 2019 deadline for using solid fuels in the city is drawing near.
"I’m calling on residents to stop being reluctant and quickly take advantage of Poland’s best allowance for having your furnace replaced," said Witold Śmiałek, the Air Quality Advisor to the Mayor of Krakow.
